Fred and Sonny met me this morning at Shell Beach and after filling the well with Michael Campo's live shrimp we headed for the Biloxi Marsh in search of transitioning speckled trout. This is the time that the trout return to the inland marshes from the outer bays in search of returning bait. It was very windy this morning as a cool front made its way through last night, and with the wind howling at 20 to 25 mph the guys were game to get on some trout so off we went deep into the marsh. Found clean and high water in the duck ponds and the specks were very aggressive as they had the shrimp jumping out of the water just before the slammed them. We fished the shrimp 2 ft. under a popping cork and they couldn't resist. We had a great morning and ended the day with our limits of 75 trout and left them biting on every cast. Fred and Sonny had a great time and have scheduled 3 more trips in the coming months. ANOTHER GREAT DAY ON THE WATER.

EQUIPMENT: 24 ft. Blazer Bay, 250 4-stroke Yam., Challenger Marsh Master rods, Red Dot 4000 Spinning reels, H&H Tackle & Specializers.
