Caddo Lake Guide Service

Lake temps are down in the low to mid 50's and the water is low and clear. The bass are still feeding up for the winter and are showing up occasionally in schools. Fished are ganged up in spots so usually if you catch one there are several more there. The bass have not stuck to any pattern or cover on a regular basis. Trees, grass, pads, open water have all been producing bites. Fishing the edge of the grass and pads has been probably the most reliable. Black/blue or watermelon senkos, white or chart/white spinnerbaits, shad colored flukes have been working best for me. Crappie can be caught using shiners and red/green jigs on the edge of the river in the pads from Johnsons to Marthas Crossing. The lake is extremely low and dangerous so be careful because there are a lot stumps in the center of the boat lanes.
