Mississippi River - Genoa

We head to the Madison Show tomorrow with some more of those great fishing rods and some new reels this year. We have a few new 10 Ball Bearing reels for under $60, but we couldn't get very many of them and they will go fast. We will also make some nice deals on a combo. If you would like to check out the rods, they are on Grandt Rods web site, www.grandtrods.com. Our prices are a lot better than what you will see there, but it will give you some good descriptions of the rods we sell. They are the best we have found.

Fishing has been picking up every day in the open water below the dam. The ice fishing is getting tricky now, especially with the river going up and down with the past run off. Walleye and sauger are biting very well on jigs and big minnows. I hope to get out today myself and give it a try. Need to check on the docks anyway, so its a good excuse to go fishing, just don't tell my wife, she thinks I'm working....

We open on March 18th this year. Hope everyone is excited about getting out there like I am. If I am off any longer my wife will find more remodeling for me to do!!

There is a new cell tower in Genoa, put in by U.S. Cellular. You may be getting service now, we bought two new phones because of it.
