Mississippi River - Genoa

Fishing is still pretty good. A lot of sauger being caught, not so many walleye right now. Plenty of nice size bluegills coming in on worms and a few northern coming in as well, they are chasing around the bluegills. A few catfish coming in too. White bass on the wall as well as bluegills. Sauger are being caught on jigs, plastics and the best has been on willocats. Remember we are open only weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in July.

Some of you may know this already, but for those who don't, dad's wife Jennifer, many know here as the friendly bait lady at Captain Hook's with the "trained" minnows, is in intensive care at Gunderson Lutheran. She was ill on Saturday and was taken to the hospital and has had a rough week in CCU. All our prayers are with her and dad right now. For those of you who know her and asked for an address, she is at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital, 1910 South Avenue, LaCrosse, Wisconsin 54601, Room 6210. Otherwise just use the shops address, Captain Hook's 108 Main Street, Genoa, Wisconsin 54632. Thanks for your calls of support.

Closed on July 25th and reopen on August 27th
